DESCRIPTION:GOPAC held the Eighth Forum of Parliamentarians in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on 18 December 2019 during the Eighth Conference of States Parties to the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (CoSP-UNCAC) ( https://www.unodc.org/unodc/en/corruption/COSP/session8.html ), 16-20 December 2019 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). GOPAC forum engaged parliamentarians on their role in parliamentary oversight as a key component of good practice UNCAC implementation. As open government develops and borders shrink, more players and partnerships are actively contributing to preventing and tackling more sophisticated corruption. Our GOPAC panel session explored innovative, holistic roles Parliaments have to take on.\n
